Every dermat’s struggles

I’m a dermatologist.
Which means:

I know more about your skin than Google, your mom, and your neighbourhood aunty combined.

I also get told “It’s just a small rash, no?” at least 5 times a day.

Let’s get this straight:

That “small rash” you ignored for a month? Now it’s weeping, infected, and has spread to your back. But yes, thank you for letting me know you tried aloe vera and haldi paste first.
Also, please don’t call the treatment I prescribed “just a cream.”That cream took 12 years of study, multiple CME hours, and more pharmac lectures than you’ve had birthdays. No, it’s not fungal because of sweat. No, Dettol is not a moisturiser.Yes, steroid abuse is real.
Yes, I can tell when you’ve used mometasone without a prescription.
And no, I will not “just give something strong so it goes away fast” this is your skin, not a whiteboard.

Sincerely,
A tired dermatologist
(but still glowing :sparkles: because I follow my own routine)
