When I thought of hostel life during NEET prep, I imagined late-night study sessions, friends motivating each other, and peaceful mornings with chai and books. Reality hit so differently.Every day was a battle from managing that one noisy roommate who never seemed to sleep, to figuring out how to study in a cramped room where the fan either wouldn’t work or sounded like a helicopter. The mess food? Let’s just say Maggi and biscuits became my staple, because no way was I trusting that curry that looked the same every single day.And the stress? Oh god. While half the hostel seemed to be chilling or gossiping, I’d be sitting there with my books, feeling guilty for every minute I wasn’t studying. And when you finally decide to take a break? Boom — someone else’s group study noise or random celebrations would make sure you couldn’t focus even after. But you know what? It taught me resilience. Hostel NEET prep is chaotic, messy, and far from perfect… but if you can study through that, you can handle any exam hall in the world.
